Over the last year I have been working on a project which has involved both traditional photography as well as using Multiple Exposures.
This was inspired by the prospect of thousands of houses being built on agricultural land near my home in East Sussex. It is about the struggle between man and the environment, the conflict between providing homes we need but also preserving the countryside for future generations.
Whenever we are threatened with losing something we suddenly look at it afresh and realise we are losing something we had taken for granted. This project is also a celebration of the countryside, of the beauty of nature even in the simplest forms. I have created images from the fields and ancient woodlands which are under threat of disappearing under concrete, with the aim of making a book of this project.
